Explorers (Ages –6-7)

Our camp for 8–9 year olds packs every day with hands-on fun and new skills. Theme activities change weekly and could include Adventure Quest, Science Explorers, Wilderness Rangers, Sports Olympics, and Creative Carnival. Campers swim with certified instructor, explore local trails on guided hikes, and play age-appropriate sports—soccer, basketball, capture the flag and more. Read full Monday- Friday Schedule below.

Our summer camp for ages 10–12 blends adventure, skill-building, and friendship. Campers enjoy sports, hiking, swimming, and weekly field trips, plus leadership activities, team challenges, and creative workshops. Small groups led by experienced childhood educators focus on independence, confidence, and positive teamwork. Your Neighbourhood Camp (YNC) is a community-focused summer camp dedicated to providing children with a fun, safe, and engaging environment where they can learn, play, and grow. Our programs are designed to nurture confidence, independence, and social skills while encouraging curiosity and creativity. -
Where We’re Located
Our summer camp is conveniently located at 266 Epworth Ave, Kings University College, London, Ontario. Our programs are located in different buildings around campus. Our summer Program is located at Broughdale Hall and Pa Days are in Wemple Hall, more information is provided to parents as to where your location is after registration. -

Each week has special themes and different games and activities but follow outline below. Other than week one which is a 4 day week with July 1 off.
Monday — Team Building & Friendship Day Campers dive into cooperative games and challenges designed to build trust, communication, and new friendships. Activities include icebreakers, partner obstacle courses, group problem-solving stations, and a friendship circle
Tuesday — Outdoor Adventure Hike Explore local trails and nature as campers enjoy a guided hike. Kids will learn basic trail safety, identify plants and wildlife, catch frogs and take part in a nature scavenger hunt. Please pack a water bottle, sun protection, sturdy shoes, and a small backpack for outdoor picnic. For campers who like to get wet and muddy extra clothing is a must for this day!
Wednesday — Sports Day at SportsPad A full day of sport-specific fun at our SportsPad. Stations include soccer, baseball, volleyball, hockey, and basketball. Campers rotate through each sport and finish the day with a “camper’s choice” session where they pick their favorite sport for extra playtime. Emphasis on skill-building, teamwork, and fair play no experience necessary.
Thursday — Swimming & Field Trip to Gibbons Park A refreshing day at Gibbons Park featuring supervised swim time and park activities. Certified lifeguards and camp staff run swim sessions tailored to ability levels, plus playground time and picnic games. Please send a swimsuit, towel, swim shoes, and sunscreen. Swimmers will be assessed for appropriate swim groups, lift jackets provided.
Friday — End-of-Week Party & Artistic Creation Celebrate the week with a festive party and creative projects. Campers collaborate on group art installations, make a take-home craft, and enjoy music, outdoor games prizes and special treats. Campers can choose to watch a movie in the afternoon or free choice outside.

Our summer camps run weekly for all 9 weeks of the summer, giving families flexibility to choose the weeks that work best for their schedule. -
