Cooked Play Dough Recipe
The best play dough recipe - in my opinion- is cooked! Have you made a cooked play dough recipe before?
I love adding the extra sensory experience by using lavender essential oil after it’s cooked and being kneaded.
Cooked Playdough Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain flour
¾ cup of table salt
2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
2 cups of warm water
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Food colouring (optional)
Lavender essential oil (optional)
Method:
Stir together the flour, salt and cream of tartar in a large pan.
Add the water, food colouring and oil.
Cook over a low heat, stirring constantly. Continue to stir until the dough has thickened and begins to form into a ball.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly and then knead until smooth.
During the kneading is when you can add colours and even some scent with essential oils. I love adding the calming scent of lavender!
Store in an airtight container and enjoy for weeks!
