  • Where is your camp located?

Your Neighbourhood Camp is located in the Oakridge neighbourhood in London, Ontario. We utilize Oakridge Presbyterian Church’s green space at the back for pick up and drop off. Inside we rent a room for activities, movies and even use their kitchen for baking or making pizza! The address is 970 Oxford Street West.

    See the interactive map below.

  • Do you offer 1:1 support for campers?

We do offer 1:1 support and know how difficult it is to find help and care. While we do have the programs in place, 2023 Summer Camp is FULL and we do have a waitlist already.

IF you are able to sedn your own support person, please email us to discuss options.

We only offer 1-2 spaces per week. Please sign up for our newsletter to know when our camps open for registration for future camps.

  • What time is drop off/pick up?

Drop off is at 8:45- 9:00am and we will be on our way to our first adventure right at 9:00am each day. Please walk your children to a councilor to sign them in. If you are running late, you may miss us on the way to the park or inside the church.

Pickup is 3:15pm - 3:45pm at the church greenspace, please be mindful when pulling into the parking lot with the children playing.

  • Are you a peanut free camp?

At Your Neighbourhood Camp we are a NUT/PEANUT FREE environment. Put simply, we do not provide or allow any foods that contain or may contain nuts or peanuts and ask all caregivers to refrain from sending foods and personal care items with nut or peanut products to camp.

We also are ALLERGY AWARE! We have adopted a NO SHARING FOOD policy as there are many foods to which campers are allergic. Our counsellors actively supervise lunch and snack times to help reinforce this important policy.

  • What items should we bring to camp?

We strive to be outside as much as possible at YNC. Please dress your child as if they are outside all day long for the weather of the season. For Summer and PD days in late Spring bring items such as sunscreen, hat, running shoes, swim suit, towel etc. If it is winter please ensure an extra pair of socks and indoor shoes are packed. Anything out of this will be emailed prior to camp, such as a helmet for tobogganing over winter break.

You will be emailed the Friday prior to your camp to remind you of any special items to bring for the week.

  • Do you accommodate single day or half day camps?

We do not do half days but we DO single day camps! $55 per day per camper, invoiced through our website.

Please contact us to discuss your needs and to be invoiced. This will be based on our staff availability that week and not a guaranteed space.

  • How many kids are in the camp?

Your Neighbourhood Camp is a small, private camp and have a maximum 25 children in attendance for age groups 4-6 years old and 7-12 years old. Our age groups will have separate activities all day long.

Our team does not simply take care of your children for the day — we like to have fun at Your Neighbourhood Camp. Aside from our day-to-day routines, some of our special activities include ice cream days, pizza days, camp fires, and ice skating, depending on the season. Check out our Summer Camp themes!

  • How many councillors are there?

Our camp is a standard ratio consisting of one director and 1-2 camp counsellors on site depending on the amount of children registered in specific ages groups in attendance, not including any 1:1 care for children.

We also have volunteers and junior camp counselors throughout the summer.

  • Do you accept subsidy?

Unfortunately, we do not accept subsidy.

All payments must be paid upfront and through our website. We do offer a payment plan service at checkout through AfterPay that splits your lump sum into 4 equal payments.

We will however, sign anything you need from us to use for subsidy purposes.
